Thursday Tab- Whitman Yellowstone Kelley, 1975

Kelley was one of Barbie's cousins, and she was the outdoorsy type. I can't remember if she lived at Yellowstone, or worked there, or was just visiting. But she communed with the wildlife, and offered them apples shaped like hockey pucks in '75.
I have opined that people are wearing a lot of 70's style clothes these days but this set proves me wrong. I don't think there's a single outfit that anyone would wear today, except maybe the little pink dress on page 6. I tried to choose one outfit as the worst, but could not. This stuff is uniformly awful. I'm guessing that red and white polka dot blouses and blue and white striped pants were a Kelley Theme, since there are several iterations in this set and on the covers.

Kelley must have lived in a different part of the country. I worked in fashion retail in 1975, and I don't recall these styles, either! At least, not in the Pacific Northwest!

I hate to admit that I had a few outfits like those. (gag)
I probably thought I was at the height of fashion then, too. (double-gag)

Thanks for sharing the great vintage paper dolls!
