Do you see this? 247 games played. two hundred and forty-seven. And I've won a measly 22 of them. Twenty-two, which Spider Solitaire (2-suit) tells me is a pitiful 8%. And yet I continue.
There is something deeply wrong with me...

Ah yes....I used to be about the same, but over time I have been able to move that to about 40%. Sometimes I get as high as 60%...but most of the time it hovers around 40%. I have never won the 4 suit version...
I find it very relaxing...
especially at the end of a hard days teaching. I play a quick game while my mind decides what I need to do before I pack up and go home. Unfortunately, the brand new computers we just got seem to be missing the game. Bummer.
Keep at it... I bet you find your average creeps up. And just for kicks, next time you are about to win, clear the stats just before you place that last card... then you can photo a 100% and feel like a champion..
Here's the score for 4 suit (my son and I both play).
Wins 1657
Losses 6840
Win Rate 19%
And you think you play too much.
LOL.
It is so addictive. I love it. I win often enough with the 2 suit, but I have never even gotten a string to fly down with the four suit. Maybe I had better try a game now.
Well at least you know how to play the game. I've tried several times and finally given up.
It's so good to know that I'm not the only one who has a hard time with spider solitaire. My average win percentage isn't changing much, yet, but I'm plugging away. I doubt I'll never get to willowcaroline's level, but I'm trying.
And I will never ever get to donna and her son's level. ever.
Then there's something wrong with me, too! And millions like us.
