Kathleen, the nearest book to me right now, is your book Yarns to DYE for. I just got it in the mail yesterday. There is no fifth sentence on page 56. Just a picture of mittens, a head band, and leg warmers!!! I am enjoying the book, and learning so much!

These different actions are known as methods, although you'll often see Rails enthusiasts refer to the methods of a controller (kind of object use in Rails, which you'll become very familiar with) as "actions"; you can safely consider the two terms to be interchangeable.

This book sticks out farther on the shelf above my computer, so it's closest. Really weird, it's mostly photos of people dancing with cats, very little text, but page 56 has a whole paragraph.

The Game Maker's Apprentice: Game Development for Beginners by Jacob Habgood and Mark Overmars.

This is actually a book I'm working with to learn some basic computer game creation methods. I thought the closest book would be one of my husbands math textbooks, but his was the one instead.
