Goosies!
This is what it's like to live in the migration line- twice a year we see it. Last night I was lucky enough to have a camera handy.

We could hear them inside the house. They're still here today, but they'll move on soon.

Are those snow geese or some other kind? Where I come from, we get to see the snow geese twice a year for a few weeks - it's one of their most important stop during their migration, and it is such an important part of fall and spring for people living in that area. Growing up, I just loved hearing the sound of them and seeing them whiten the sky and the St.Lawrence River. It would mark the beginning of our spring, and the end of the nicest part of fall... and I was always sad to see them gone and to hear the silence again. Two years ago, I got to take my kids to my hometown while the snow geese were there, and it was such a thrill to share this experience with them! I miss this!
Sophie- these are Snows and Blues. They're still here this morning, but someone is shooting at them this morning, so I suspect they'll move on. It's an amazing sight
Occasionally, here in Phoenix, I've seen and heard Canadian Geese coming and going during the migrations but only about 5 or six at a time, NEVER that many. Totally Awespome!
