New Tory Bauer goodies are available from CafePress, using the wonderful covers designed for the eBooks by Curtis Taylor (yeah, the name is not a coindicence).
I love CafePress's rectangle fridge magnets. I've had sets made of each of the new covers. Mourning Shift and Cold Front look right at home with the rest. The 6th (and final, for now) cover is being designed even as I type. Soon, I'll have a full set.
I'm wearing the Mourning Shift tee right now, and as soon as it cools off enough (not any time soon, I fear), I'll be wearing the black Cold Front hoodie.
Two more beer glasses to add to my collection.
They'll fit in nicely with the rest. I do have to add a caveat about the beer glasses- the transfers are exact replicas of the covers, but they're also translucent, and therefore not easy to see. Also, if you leave the glasses soaking overnight (not that I'd ever do that), the glass turns a slightly opaque, which actually makes the images easier to see. It's not a problem for me, but it could bother others who order the glasses.
Amazingly enough, beer glasses don't just have to hold beer. I like the Seagram's Dark Honey, though maybe not quite as much as the Wild Turkey American Honey. I can sip the Wild Turkey neat, but not the Seagram's. On the other hand, the Seagram's makes a nice mixer.
It's been my week for CafePress orders- Curt designed a new logo for his HopHeadSaid beer blog. I loved it, and immediately needed a beer glass (natch), a golf shirt, and a new coaster for my desk (serving its purpose right now).
You can see all of the Tory Bauer merchandise by clicking here, or on the link to the upper right. The HopHeadSaid things are available here, and while you're at it, check Curt's blog. It's great.

Thursday Tab- Saalfield Paper Dolls and Wardrobe Box, 1944
This lovely set was obviously drawn by the same artist as the Carnival set I posted way back when I first started the Thursday Tab. It was published by Saalfield, in 1944 (same year as the Carnival set).
Thanks Dottie!

More Excitement!
I'm back in business, internet wise (long story, full of much angst and grr-ing and tech people who tell you that the problem is not their fault when it actually is), which is great because I can share with you the latest cover from Taunton's Threads Selects new line of booklets.
This one will feature 7 patterns from The Big Book of Socks!
There will be 6 booklets using my patterns, which is absolutely thrilling. I don't know the pub date on this one, but my guess is that it'll be sometime in November, as with the Fair Isle Flower Garden booklet.
Woohoo!!!

Threads Selects- Fair Isle Flower Garden
Taunton is publishing a series of booklets featuring patterns from other books they've already published, for readers and crafters who are only interested in a few patterns at a time, rather than the entire book.
In addition to the Flower Garden patterns, other projects from both Fearless Fair Isle Knitting, and The Big Book of Socks will be featured.
I'm thrilled with this new series, and I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on the progress and availability.
The first booklet with my patterns will be the Threads Selects- Fair Isle Flower Garden, with the children's patterns from Fearless Fair Isle Knitting. This is going to be a totally adorable and handy booklet. It's going to press soon, and should hit the stands in November.

I'm thrilled with this new series, and I'll be sure to keep everyone posted on the progress and availability.

The New Prayer Shawl Companion
Look what just arrived in the mail:
Woohoo! It's Taunton's latest addition to their Prayer Shawl Companion books, The New Prayer Shawl Companion.
My design, the Good Luck Horseshoe Shawl, is on page 115.
Long-time blog readers may remember that shawl, which was a KAL here. Here I'm modeling the same shawl.
There are some really beautiful shawl patterns in this new book, geared to knitters of all levels. And as always with Taunton, the photos and presentation are gorgeous. The proceeds from this book go to the Prayer Shawl Ministry, which is a very good cause. I'm proud to have been part of all three of the Prayer Shawl books.
