Turtle Creek

I found an old picture of Turtle Creek (taken in Sept '01). Even these water levels are a little higher than normal- but you can compare it with the one taken last night (and posted earlier this morning) to see how high the water is now.
The shape of the oxbow has changed a bit in the last few years, it's wider now, and the creek bank has given way- the grassy edge of the peninsula is dirt now (well, when the water is lower) and cliff swallows nest there. More of the creek bank, on the left side, is falling away now, and will probably wash out when the water recedes.
