This little paper doll is by Chiquet, and she appeared in the August 1925 issue of Child Life. It seems to be a precursor to Betsy McCall- a magazine paper doll whose real purpose is to sell sewing patterns. She's pretty cute, just the same.

I got Child Life - when I was a child, of course. I thought my mother's McCall's was a lot more interesting. So were my comic books. So was nearly every other thing I read. All in all, a very boring publication. There were no cute dolls like that one in it, as I was not a child till many years after 1925.
