Class at Athena Fibers

My first book was published in 1992, and today, 19 years later, was the first time I have ever stumbled across someone looking at one of my books in a bookstore (except at signings, or times when people are specifically there to see me or my books). It was decidedly cool, and the lady, who noticed me hovering with a huge, goofy grin on my face, didn't call store security.

She also came to Athena Fibers tonight, for my Little Tips and Tricks class, which went swimmingly.

 Before the class, we sat downstairs in the store area and knit and schmoozed. Note the lovely sign that Taunton made for the store!
 Athena Fibers is in a lovely old house, with rooms full of yarn, and a cozy knit-together area, where people gather in front of a fireplace. And tonight, they showed me how to wear the Dragonride Shawl so that it will look good on TV tomorrow morning.
 After the social time, we trooped upstairs for the class, which was held in this cheery room.
As always, I was blessed with Genius Students, who all did a fantastic job on all of the assorted tasks and techniques that we played with.

Thanks everyone! And thanks to the folks at Athena for hosting the signing and class.Tomorrow, I'll be on TV very early in the morning. I'll have Terry take pics.

How fun! I love that the rooms of the Fiber store are so home-like :-}
