Packing the Suitcase

Well, it's a carry-on, purchased specifically to meet Allegiant's new, smaller guidelines, and I'm not packing just yet, but I will in a day or so. My travel season is about to start (not that I have a season where I don't travel these days), and here's the February and March itinerary (so far):

Thursday, Feb. 10- Athena Fibers, Sioux Falls, SD- I'm teaching the Little Tips and Tricks class from 6-8pm, and signing books, and just yakking in general at 5:30-6:00, and from 8:00-8:30. Athena Fibers is a wonderful yarn store, one that I don't get to visit nearly often enough. This is the debut signing for Fearless Fair Isle Knitting and I am excited!

Friday, Feb. 11- In-Studio interview on KSFY TV, the Morning Show, with Nancy Naeve Brown and Shawn Cable. I will be on the air around 6:40am (as long as nothing major happens to bump my segment). I have done many interviews with the KSFY folks- I think Nancy was the first one to interview me when the Tory books were published. I'm looking forward to catching up with her. I'll be wearing the Dragonride Shawl. KSFY often uploads segments online, so if mine is available after the interview, I'll post the link here (though not on Friday, because we're flying to LAX on Friday- woohoo!!!)

Tuesday Feb. 15- Loop & Leaf, Santa Barbara, CA- I'll be doing a booksigning from 1-4pm, which will include freebie workshopettes on hand-winding a center-pull ball, and knitting back backwards, for anyone who drops in. This will be my first visit to this lovely store, and I can't wait.

Tuesday March 8- I will be the featured speaker at the Snohomish Knitter's Guild, Snohomish, WA. Regular blog-readers will remember that Snohomish is my home town, and I am honored and excited to be invited to speak to the guild. And I'm totally thrilled to have a bonus trip back home!

Saturday March 12- Great Yarns, Everett, WA- I am teaching Little Tips and Tricks from 1-3pm. I've visited the Great Yarns store several times on trips to the coast, and I can't wait to go back.

I would be delighted to schedule more booksignings or classes while I'm in Washington. I'm available to teach or sign on Wednesday March 9-Friday March 11, in the Snohomish/Everett/nearby vicinity. Transportation might be an issue for Seattle, but if anyone there is interested, let me know and we'll see if we can work it out. E-mail me and we'll talk.

What a fun trip :-}
I fell in love with the Dragonride Shawl when I looked at an Amazon preview of the book a few days ago. I have a pre-order in :-}

Thanks Diana! I was scared of the Dragonride project, and left it until the very last one of the book, but it turned out to be one of the easiest knits. I love how it came out, and it'll be fun to wear it to appearances.
