Thursday Tab- Lowe #2778 Dress Up Dolls, 1969

I don't want to cast aspersions, but compare the poses of the dolls in this Lowe set (#2778 Dress UP Dolls, 1969) to the ones in last week's Cathy Goes to Camp.

Interesting, no? (for the record- Lowe was not a subsidy of Merrill)

This set was a reproduction of another Lowe set, called Patience and Prudence. P&P were singing sisters from the 50's.

These are the Patience and Prudence dolls. The clothes for the Dress Up Dolls book were completely redrawn.

I find it interesting that there are so many hair changes, but none of them blonde.

I have been using some of the paper dolls in my mixed media art. Love than

Thanks!

I love this set. I've been lucky enough to get a variation of this set myself. Different cover and name but the same dolls.

Maxine there's actually a simular set out there where the dolls are blond. So maybe that's why they didn't include it as an option. *shrugs*
